Tamiflu (Oseltamivir) Approved For Infants Younger Than 12 Months, FDA

Tamiflu (Oseltamivir) has been approved for children as young as two weeks with flu symptoms, the FDA has announced. Before today, Tamiflu was only approved for patients aged one year or more. The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) stressed that oseltamivir is not approved as a preventive medication for infants; it has not been approved for the prevention of flu among babies aged less than one year.
