People across the UK are being urged to give blood as the NHS believes the country's stock will be hit by major events such as the Olympics and the diamond jubilee. Officials at NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) are predicting a "perfect storm" on the demand for blood with the increased amount of events happening over the summer
