St. Elizabeth Physicians names new COO

St. Elizabeth Physicians hired Jacob Bast to serve as its new chief operating officer.

Bast comes to the job from Joplin, Mo., where he was vice president of Mercy Clinic. That organization included more than 100 physicians serving a half-million patients each year.

At St. Elizabeth, Bast will be responsible for leadership and administrative direction for the hospital system's 200-physician organization.
