Is a surgery allowed to refuse to do blood tests for a registered patient who has a medical condition that requires monitoring? The practice say that patients must attend a phlebotomy clinic at a hospital (unless elderly or infirm).

Unfortunately, we cannot answer this question. We searched the BMA, Department of Health, GMC, and the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) web sites but found no guidance or policy statements to help answer this question. (Source: NLH Question Answering Service)
