While in many ways I am NOT looking forward to my return to med school, what with the horrible hours and constant feeling of being under the microscope, it does make me feel happy too.Why?Because the end of this PhD is drawing nearer.Whenever I have a bad meeting with my PI, all I have to do is remind myself that technically, I have enough material to graduate NOW.  That these next 7 months are gravy.  That my analysis for Aim 2 is more or less complete, and if my biostatistician is right, Aim 3 will take probably 2-3 months.  That it almost doesn't matter how my PI acts towards me anymore because I WILL DEFEND IN FEBRUARY, pretty much no matter what.All I have to do is survive.After I graduate, I'll return to med school... and I'll have a period of time between September an...
